Commitment to Success
Employee Commitment

The First Step in Employee Development Must Be Employee Commitment

Why waste your money on people who cannot be, or who do not want to be, trained? Employees need to be committed to the outcomes of training.

Assessment will reveal specific gaps that can be corrected with training.

Specific training needs (and the relating of training and compensation) produce employee commitment. Not surprisingly, employee retention takes care of itself when training outcomes are directly tied to productivity and financial compensation. These outcomes include developing:
  • A solid understanding of human behavior.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Skill at designing intelligent processes.
  • An attitude/emotional system that supports goals.
Training Should Be Financed in the Compensation Package of the Employee

Obviously, under-performing employees are most in need of training. Like yours, Partner Through People's philosophy is that companies who pay top dollar for poorly performing employees are wasting their money. Under-performing employees must be required to enter training that will bring them up to standard.

Financial compensation of current employees should be dependent on achievement of training goals. A percentage of new employee compensation should be dependent on performance until training objectives are achieved.
